I have been involved in the railroad  industry  since May 9, 1962, when I went to work for the Pennsylvania Railroad's Traffic Department in New Orleans, LA. I continued with this rail system, which became Penn Central and then Conrail, until Dec. 31, 1978,  as Office Manager, Rate Clerk, and Sales Representative.

In 1979, I joined the Erie Western Railway as a Sales Manager. When its operating authority was terminated, a group of us formed the Chicago & Indiana Railroad , which was unable to secure sufficient  funding to continue operations. I was its Vice President-Traffic.

In 1981,  I joined the Apalachicola Northern Railroad as General Freight Agent, and continued with that company  until  November 30, 1999, when my position as Director, Marketing and Sales was abolished along with my department, as the railroad's two principal customers, the  paper mill and the unit train coal transfer, ceased operations.

With almost four decades of experience in rail marketing and rail company creation, and with both carrier and shipper experience, I am seeking projects to assist in rail marketing, pricing negotiations, or carrier creation.
